Off to the hospital!

Since I'm not TTC at the moment, I haven't updated the blog. I know the usual readers are all TTC or pg, so I didn't think anyone would really care, lol.

I do have one good thing to say! DH and I will be giving it our all after he feels better! I'll be excited to get back in the game :)

DH had another attack with his diverticulitis a few weeks ago. We did not want to follow up with the same surgeon who did his surgery last year, so we saw someone else. We did not want to go to the same facility, but we had to know something, so DH could get back to work. The doctor we saw was friendly, and very likable. He said DH should take Metamucil and see how that worked, before he rushed into doing surgery again.

We were happy with that answer, but decided to see the doctor at the medical university for a second opinion. I tried so hard to get a referral, so we figured if he had to have surgery in the long run, at least we'd already have some history at the MU.

DH loved that doctor and she it's only a matter of time before he had another attack. She planned his surgery for the 11th. We were really shocked, but I'm glad he's getting this taken care of. I just want him to feel better, and I hope this takes care of everything. When he had surgery last year, he still hurt every single day. I hope I never have to hear one more thing about the pain! I want him to feel good and get all of this behind us.

DH's depression and anxiety makes all of this much more difficult for us. Any normal person would be ready to feel better and get this over with. He is not like that, and it's very bad... I don't want to give too many details, but the recovery is worse because of the depression, agoraphobia, and anxiety. I'm praying things will be better for him mentally and physically this time. I'll be very stressed out, as I am not the best caretaker. If this time is anything like last time, I'm really going to be worn out.

We got through it last time, and we will again. It won't be easy, but we can do it. I'll update tomorrow or Tuesday. Let's hope they can do a lap, instead of having to make an incision. All the depends upon scar tissue from the previous surgery. If they can't do a lap, he'll have to have the incision, which means longer stay.

Quick update on work- I'm extremely slammed, which is great, but I've taken off 3 days already. I am booked Thurs-Sat and basically, for the next few weeks. Hopefully, everything goes well with the surgery, and I can go back Thursday.

I'm planning on moving to another salon, because shit hit the fan there a few weeks ago. Long story, but I have SO much to do before I can move, and my boss caught on. I lied and told her I couldn't afford to move right now, with all the other things going on in my life. This is true, but I'm moving ASAP, lol. I'll update more about that later... I've got to get some sleep before the big day.

Thanks for all of your prayers! AML
