Our son is almost 7 months old!

Wow! I obviously have a LOT of catching up to do! Our son is almost 7 months old. I can't believe I quit updating. Here are the details to catch us up:

I went 10 days overdue, before I was induced. I spent 12 hours in labor, 45 minutes pushing. Ellis Sullivan was born at 7:50 on Aug. 24th. He was 8.5 lbs and 21.5 inches long! He was healthy, gorgeous and everything I could never have dreamed of!

He's been reaching milestones right on time. He had 2 teeth at 5 1/2 months. He's trying to crawl now, but just rocks back and forth. He can also do one handed pushups. Okay, two hands. He also does a modified plank. His laugh is contagious, and his eyes are the most beautiful blue.

Ellis has changed my life dramatically, and he IS love. God has been so amazing... and continues to be.

Now...I left a LOT out, but I will try to update!

Stick a Fork in ME!

I'm DONE! I cannot believe I'm still pregnant. This is insanity! Do I really even have 2 uteri? I've certainly beaten the odds.

I am going to the doctor tomorrow and we'll see what she says. I'm praying SOMETHING has changed, that I can have membranes stripped, or something.  It'd be nice if this child decided to come on out tonight!

I don't want to be induced, but I'm getting so uncomfortable that I'm thinking of asking them to move it up, based on what kind of progress I've made. I'm praying that I've made some sort of progress, can have my membranes stripped, etc. Something has to give!

NO PROGRESS

Am I seriously 3 days from my due date? Let me say first-- GOD IS SO GOOD! He's proved all the doctors wrong. I am shocked that I made it to be full term, let alone 40 weeks. I'm to the miserable point now. I think I'll be okay once I quit working. I've decided that I won't work past this Friday. Done :) That's the scariest thing on the planet for me, because I love to work.

I am still at 1 cm, no progress. I cried forever at my appointment yesterday, because I'm just READY. I can't believe we scheduled an induction, but thankfully it's not until August 23rd. I'll post more later, but please LO-- don't make me wait until August 23rd. I need some labor dust ladies!

38 weeks!

I just want to make a quick post, and I promise to come back on later to post more.
First, here's a pic of my beautiful boy from my 36 week u/s!



He had his eyes open, he has HAIR! and he was making tons of cute faces while we watched. His heart rate is in the 140's and he looks great. They estimated him to be about 6 lbs and 3 oz. Right on target! How cool is that? God is so good to us. I mean we didn't expect to get this far and here I am, probably going to 40 weeks, lol. I feel like he'll never come out!

I'm ready for him to just get with the program and make his little entrance into the world. I'm so afraid that he won't come out, that he'll be huge and I'll need a section. Now that I only have 12 days left, it seems like eternity. Funny how that should happen, huh?

Look at this pic of us being stupid- but you can see how huge I am. This is about 2 weeks ago? Yikes! I have stretch marks all across the belly and it breaks my heart, but I'll deal. They itch uncontrollably.

I finally got the artwork in for his room, but have nothing on the walls yet. I'm ordering the paper lanterns to go over his crib TODAY. I've been putting everything off, and I don't know why!

Quiz time:

How far along? 38 weeks and 2 days!
How big is baby? a watermelon. Yum.
Weight gain? I'm over 200 lbs. Seriously. This is out of control. I cannot wait to get back to ME!

Maternity clothes? Not buying anymore, lol.
Stretch marks? Yep!
Sleep?  I wake at 5 am most mornings. Heartburn isn't so bad now, but everything else hurts. The itching wakes me up from my feet and my stomach. Double checking with dr. tomorrow to make sure I don't have PUPPs.
Best moment this week? I hope getting his artwork on the walls will be the best moment!

Movement? Movement is now a something sticking out here and there.
Food cravings? nothing particular, just ice.
Gender? Team blue!
Labor signs? I had some cramping last night. Hope they are practice contractions!
Belly button in or out? It's just flat.
What I miss? not itching. Bending over and my old boobs.
What I am looking forward to? Labor?
Weekly wisdom? get started on that nursery BEFORE 27 weeks.
Milestones?  We are full term! AMAZING!

35 weeks and 4 days!

           Can I just tell you how amazing it is that I am still blessed to be pregnant? God is so good and I was never expected to make it this far. I'm thrilled and so grateful for God's amazing blessings. I cannot believe that I'm almost  full term.

We have a doctor's appt this coming Monday! I haven't had an ultrasound in forever, so it's good to  be getting another. You know, I've had 11 so far. How could they just stop on me! Please pray for good news.

My friend just had her baby= 10 lbs! She gave birth to a toddler! I got to go see her yesterday and she's so precious! I'm wondering if the boy will be big or not?

BY THE WAY! I am pleased to announce our son has a name! Yes, at 8 1/2 months pregnant, we have finally decided on a name. We are naming him Whit, but we haven't figured out a middle name. We like: Sullivan, Landes, Charles, Cannon, and still trying to brainstorm a few more. I think a lot of people seem to be iffy about the name, Whit, but whatever. It's after a baseball player that won the college world series, lol. DH even contacted him and he'll be signing a baseball for the baby. How sweet is that? Whit wasn't my first choice, but DH is in love with the name. If we need to change it, we will. No biggie!

Anyway, I'll post again soon. I gotta climb back in bed!

32 weeks almost!

Hey Everyone!

Can I just tell you how huge I am? I cannot take ONE more comment about how big I am. No I am not going to pop. Yes, I really do have 8 more weeks to go. I don't care that your wife wasn't as big as me. I've put on a ton of weight, I'm even embarrassed to tell you all! He's worth it though and I'll just have to work extra hard to work it off. Or take extra Adderall after I'm finished nursing. Just kidding! 

Here's a 32 week picture!

I had my first baby shower! Everything was so beautiful and turned out nicely. This shower had around 30 guests, and still, several friends did not show. It was fine though, because it took me around 2 hours to get the gifts finished. I could bathe all those poor animals in the oil spill twice with all the bubble bath, lotions, and creams I got. I'm a little surprised that I didn't get too many clothing items. I got tons of bibs, plenty of toys, lots of wipes, and not a ton of diapers to my surprise. Several things from my registry, including pack-n-play, bathtub (PUJ tub that I'm too excited about!), stroller frame, car seat, base, and over 400 dollars in gift cards.

The cake was homemade by cousin. She just does it for fun, and she's great! The cake was SO good. I watched her make it the night before, like it was, um, a piece of cake. The diaper cake is super cute, too! Here's a shower pic:

SO! We finally put the crib together. We also finally picked out some bedding. It's nothing special and I got it for 80 dollars. Shocker, after I was looking at spending around 3-400?? WTH was I thinking? Anyway, it's just green, brown, and yellow dots and stripes with some larger circles. I still have a long way to go in the nursery. I plan on driving 3 hours to Ikea for the dresser. Yikes! Anyway, I'll update once I have some progress there.

I'm having a smaller shower again with about 12 of my small group ladies this Wednesday. That's also DH's birthday. I'm sending him to Harry Potter World at Orlando Studios. He'll be gone for 4 days, so hopefully, I can make some progress! I hope nothing crazy happens while he's gone! 

The doctors are happy that I've made it to 32 weeks (Saturday will be 32)! Dr. Chang said he'd be happy if I could stay pregnant between 28-32 weeks. Shocking, I know! I'm just happy that so far, I can be of some encouragement for women with uterine didelphys. So far, so good. I have another appointment Monday, unfortunately, no more u/s until 36 weeks.

I can't believe we might have an outside baby in 8 weeks or less. OR LESS! 

How far along? Seems like I update only every 3 weeks, lol. Next time I update, if I'm as slack as usual, I could be 35 weeks! Anyway, I'm 31 weeks and 5 days.
How big is baby? He's still a squash.
Weight gain? I'm huge.

Maternity clothes? hardly fitting. I'm picking out enough dresses to work in and rotate them. The salon has been so hot, like 80 degrees inside or worse. It's 100 outside everyday with horrid humidity. I've started swelling by late in the evening. Sucks! I had to buy a pair of BORN shoes. Omg. Born.
Stretch marks? nope! knock on wood
Sleep? painful trying to position the belly just right.
Best moment this week? My baby shower!

Movement? He's mostly kicking around my belly button, and doctor still thinks he's head down. Now, he's in the ribs again. I saw him hiccup finally!Food cravings? pineapple, watermelon, or strawberries, please!Gender? Team blue!Labor signs? None! Playing Catch Up!

I had my maternity shoot! It was fun, and CHEAP! I only paid this chick 60 dollars! Score. I'll post more later. Right :)  It's almost 2 am, lol. Insomnia has begun!

How far along? 29 weeks and 5 days. I cannot believe I'm almost 30 weeks. I never thought I'd make it this far. Thank you GOD!
How big is baby? size of a squash?
Weight gain? I'm humongous. I've gained 30+ lbs. There. I said it.

Maternity clothes? Not buying anymore, lol.
Stretch marks? nope! knock on wood!
Sleep? painful trying to position the belly just right.
Best moment this week? Saturday will be the best moment! I cannot WAIT to reach 30 weeks!

What I miss? Smoking. God, I am not going to start back, but oh my gosh, do I want one! Wine, not having to grunt to bend over. Not being so fat!

Weekly wisdom? buy the maternity panties. I'm ordering some soon.
Milestones?  The baby's crib is done! Perfect! I THINK I also decided on bedding! Now, if I can only decide on what I want to decorate the room in. sigh.

Everything is so good right now! DH is still freaking out. Seriously? It's been 7 months now, lol. He's a tool sometimes, what can I say? We still love him  :)
